Thankfully we found this affordable GARVEE Universal Bimini Top before the summer season started and it has been a perfect fit for our 12 foot pontoon boat. This is widely universal and versatile and also fits the Bimini top on our 12 foot skif. We live in a area that has torrential sun, heat, and rain, especially in the summer. Shade is absolutely essential on the water. These universal Bimini top covers provide essential saftey for kids on the water as well and we are pleased to get the kids back out on the water.The top cover itself is a perfect fit and is fast and simple to install on your end frame poles. The cover has an attractive sleek look to it and gives a classy appearance to your boat. It is made of heavy duty quality 600D nylon canvas material that will lasts for a long time here in the sun and keep its color from fading. The front has a full zipper that makes it easy to instal the other side. The zippers all feel strong and have an easy and smooth pull to them. The storage boot also installs fast and simple and has precision tolerance so that the top fully is enclosed and you dont have to fight to get all the canvas in.The best part of the Graveelife Bimini top is that is comes with dual sided screen protection that quickly zippers onto the main cover sides. I have a very small pontoon boat (6x12 deck). It has an older, dry rotted top that I've been wanting to replace. I came across this one in the Vine program and needing to be reviewed, so I decided to give it a try.This top, although it states universal, it isn't exactly universal. If it had velcro or zippers like my old one, then it would have been MUCH easier to install. Since the support brackets have to be slid into the sleeves, I had to disconnect all the connectors on one side of my support. I then had to slip it onto each of the brackets and work it up slowly and evenly until it was fully on. it took about an hour. I knew this top was going to be big, but I was ok with that. It's on my private lake, so I don't have to impress anyone. I'm looking for functionality, not beauty.Anyway, it did slip on ok without too much difficulty. The material is nice but isn't very thick. I wouldn't exactly call it canvas. I like the side shades, although I haven't tried them yet.Note that it does not have an opening on the top back for the stern light. I had to remove my light and the wiring in order to install this cover. I'll probably just leave the light off, since it is on my private lake. If you were to use this on a public lake and have a stern light that is affixed to your top, then this top would need modification.Note that my support only has three poles, so it is kind of sloppy. This top is made for 4. I may rig up another support, since that would give me more headroom anyway. I do like the size of this top, though. It is much longer than my original.
