I needed to modify these forks to fit my backhoe bucket a bit. The two clamps on each fork were spaced too far apart and the one near the front of my bucket was hitting the tapered cutting edge. I relocated this hole about 3/4" back by welding in a new nut, and also welded on the stabilizer bar as well so I wouldn't have as many potential loose connections. With these modifications, the forks are like 6/5 stars.Without the mods, they are 4/5. I had no problem picking up several thousand pounds with the forks as delivered. well worth the cost, especially if you have the money and desire to spend some time customizing them for your application.

We used these on the bucket of a backhoe. They claim these forks are capable of lifting 6,000 pounds. I think that is being very very optimistic. But I can verify that they lifted about 1,200 pounds without any trouble. There wasn't any bending or deformation.The set that I received are not what is pictured. The pictures show they are tightened down onto the bucket with what appears to be and "L" shaped bolt. What I got was a straight bolt with a hole in it through which you put a 1/4" X 6" bolt (included) and that becomes the "handle" for tightening them to the bucket. It's kind of cheesy, but it worked okay.They claim these will fit virtually all skid steer or other similar buckets. I didn't try putting them on my skid steer bucket, but I suspect they will slid on okay. Any by "okay" I mean that they will go on and tighten down, but will probably not fit perfectly. I would not put these on any piece of equipment and expect to use them day-in-and-day-out without constantly checking to make sure they are secure.They are very easy to install and remove--5-10 minutes is all it takes. I did find, though, that I needed to retighten them after a moving a few pallets of cultured rock. I'm pleased with them. They did everything I needed them to do, and frankly, the price was very reasonable.

Bought this for my mini tractor. Works great with easy installation. Fits on front of bucket and really helps in carrying heavy loads.
