This purchase was for my birthday and I have been enjoying it very much. There's all kinds of things that you could use this for. You could even make protein shakes. Regardless I thought it was a great purchase and highly recommend. Get yourself a book on soft serve ice cream recipes.
Excellent slushie machine. Cold delicious drinks in 15mins to an hour, depending on how much your making. The 6 presets all work as intended and make the desired drinks with a press of a button. It really is easy to make slushies with this machine, including frappes and other textures to try. The machine itself looks great and is simple to use and even better, its easy to clean up. As far as the machine and the way its been working and its functionality and easy of cleaning, its awesome. The only thing i think could be better is the display pictures of the 6 presets. They are somewhat hard to read and could have a better art/design.
This is a kitchen gadget we've been wanting for a while, and we are not disappointed. The slushie machine works great! I love all the different options too, from a drink slushie to ice cream. It's super easy to work. It shows the temp as it works. We tried it for the first time this weekend when my husband made a raspberry lemonade. Within about 30 or so minutes we had a nice, slushie mix. You don't have to add ice and any frozen components. We only added the liquid and it did the rest. And you can see the mechanics too, which is a neat bonus. It cleans easily. You pop the container right off the machine.
The Garve Slushie Machine is a sleek, surprisingly quiet addition to a home bar setup. The large capacity is great for gatherings, and once you figure out the right mix, it produces smooth, consistent slushies and frozen drinks without needing to mess around with ice.
That said, the included recipes could definitely use some work. The margarita recipe in particular just didn’t freeze properly—the alcohol-to-lime juice ratio was off, and the result was overly sweet and more of a chilled cocktail than a slush. Adjusting the mix on your own makes a big difference, though, and once you dial in your preferred ratios, the machine performs really well. It does take about an hour so plan ahead! Overall, it’s a fun, well-built appliance that delivers great results—just skip the recipe guide and trust your own taste.
