I've been shopping for a ramp, aluminum, for a while and although it seems the same ramp is sold under different names, I went with GARVEE because they are a "brand" name in aluminum ramps.So it arrived well boxed and I took a look at the welds which are critical. All look really, really good. The hinges use stainless bolts with Nylock nuts.They included a set of gloves. When a product includes gloves I take it to mean "Careful we left a lot of sharp edges"....but GARVEE didn't. I guess you could stick a finger into the surface, but just picking it up and moving it seems smooth.Speaking of moving it, I wish it was 10# lighter, but I wouldn't sacrifice the solid feel. It's going to live in the truck bed and just be slid out to use, so I won't be carrying it much.It also came with a couple cam straps to secure it to the vehicle, and they look fine although the way the 'prongs' sit on the tailgate I can't see it falling off. I guess if you ride an ATV up and goose the gas half way maybe it could spit out backwards. I'm just rolling a e-trike in and out.Best of all Garvee had a coupon which saved me about $40 from the usual price.Beats the competition!

This is an excellent ramp for the price. You really should go through all 6 fasteners and the 2 fasteners that hold the latches. I took off all 6 nuts on the hinges, used red lock tight, and tightened them back tight enough but not too tight, making sure that the panels swing on the hinges appropriately. On my unit, the fasteners were just finger tight, in fact, I removed them without tools. So without lock tight and an a little tension, those 6 nuts would have just vibrated off. It takes a 10mm socket or open end, and an H4 metric Allen wrench.

I have only used a couple times but does seem to be very sturdy and well made, especially for the price
