High quality. Great solution. Outstanding results.

This cargo box pulley system is awesome. It is clever and easy to use.In full disclosure, I don't use if for a cargo box. Instead, I have a convertible hardtop that has been a pain to install/remove and store. This system has eliminated the issues altogether. I pull the car under the pulley system, disconnect the top from the car and hoist it up to the ceiling where it stays protected and out of the way. I put a fitted cover over the top that draws together underneath to keep the dust and spider webs from accumulating. Installation is a simple process too. This pulley system came with everything I need to do the job. I added some other hardware for my unique purposes, but it wouldn't be necessary if used for a cargo box. Installation was easy. Finding solid mounting points was the hardest part. It works out super well and I'm so happy that I can deal with the hardtop without assistance from my wife or next-door neighbor! This is a really great pulley system that's built to last. Its extremely effective and a pleasure to use. An excellent value for a high quality parts. I wholeheartedly recommend it. Great seller, outstanding product, and really FAST shipping. Order with confidence.

Makes Overhead Storage Much Easier

This pulley system made overhead garage storage much easier than lifting bulky items manually. It helps free up floor space while keeping things accessible. The straps feel strong and secure once installed properly. The hardware feels solid and designed for heavier loads.Installation takes some time, but once mounted it works smoothly. The pulley motion feels controlled and doesn’t jerk or slip unexpectedly. It gives a lot of flexibility for seasonal storage or larger bins. For garage organization and maximizing space, this has been a very practical purchase.

A smart, space-saving gargaeg storage solution

This is a mechanical pulley hoist system designed to reclaim garage floor space by suspending large gear like stand-up paddleboards or kayak from the ceiling. The kit uses a series of pulleys to provide a mechanical advantage, allowing a single person to lift heavy equipment with minimal effort.I had this exact same idea years ago and DIY-installed a rope/pulley system to suspend two standup paddleboards in my garage, but this kit has finally professionalized my setup. The core idea is to get these massive boards out of the way - they take up a ton of space otherwise - and be able to lower them directly onto the car’s crossbars or lift them off after a trip. My old solution was always a little janky, but this system is smooth and feels much more secure.I got the 2 bracket system for 8-10 feet. At $38.07 at time of writing (kind of an odd price) I think it's a good value for the money. One critical tip: make sure you drill these brackets directly into the ceiling joists to adequately support the weight. It takes a little bit of "art" to position everything so the boards stay clear of the garage door slides when they’re raised, but once you find that sweet spot, the results are excellent. The auto-locking brake is a huge upgrade over a standard rope-and-cleat setup; it makes the whole process of lifting and lowering a 12-foot board much less stressful. I like the flat strap as well. My old system relied on rope and I had to add pool noodles to prevent the rope from cutting into to the relatively soft foam of the SUPs - two of them stacked together are realtively heavy and they could push hard on the rope otherwise.Verdict: A smart, space-saving storage solution that turns a cumbersome garage footprint into an efficient overhead system.

Good budget hoist

👍 ProsStrong for the price — 150 lb capacity is standard for this category and enough for most cargo boxes and binsSpace-saving — overhead pulley systems are one of the most efficient ways to free garage floor spaceMechanical advantage — pulley design reduces lifting effort significantly (typically ~2:1 or better)Dual fixed-point design — more stable than single-point hoists (less swinging)👎 ConsGARVEE brand risk — GARVEE / similar brands often vary in quality controlInstall matters a LOT — must hit ceiling joists correctly or it becomes unsafeNo advanced safety features — higher-end systems include locking cleats or auto-lock brakes (this likely doesn’t)
