Running Smooth After 90 Days

So far so good with 90 days of normal use. This motor is not from the states, but imported. Easy replace. Unfortunately, no brand of Polaris motor can be repaired, all having no serviceable parts. Therefore, its run to failure, usually from bearing failure, indicated by excess noise, then replace with a new one. Its wait and see on this one.

So far, so good

Seems like a fairly good aftermarket motor for a Polaris PB4-60 boost pump. Ran it for 3 hours and motor remained cool to the touch and very quiet for a PB4-60. Hopefully it will have good service life but as it’s made in China I have concerns over the quality of the installed bearings (they’re not known for great bearing quality). Also a little surprised that the electrical connection cover panel does not have a weather seal. A little silicone sealant easily fixes this, but a gasket of some kind should be used for outdoor applications.
