This portable air conditioner works really well to cool off a large room. It is nice and portable with the wheels, although you will not be moving it much because you have to have it close to a window for the exhaust system to work properly. It has two fan settings, low and high, both of which are quiet. I actually wouldn't mind the high setting being more loud, since the white noise helps me sleep. The main thing to be aware of with this unit is that it doubles as a dehumidifier, so you will need to purchase a hose to deal with the condensation since it is not included. It's an easy addition though. This is a great value and a trusted brand.

I have a back bedroom that gets very hot in the summer. I've really needed an air conditioner to cool that room. But, I didn't want an air conditioner that sat in the window. I also wanted a portable machine.This air conditioner works very well as it's portable, so I can move it if needed, and it vents out the window. It's energy efficient, which is a big deal, plus the unit cools the room extremely well but doesn't take up lots of room. The item is clean looking and attractive, and it's got the various settings to adjust the cooling level, as well as having a dehumidifier and a fan. The unit runs quietly, and it has a timer. It has a remote. That's huge, too, as the unit can be adjusted while the room occupier is in bed.I couldn't be more pleased, as this air conditioner works as needed, and it's portable, energy efficient, and it's not bulky. I appreciate the fact that it doesn't sit in a window collecting tons of debris inside.

This portable AC unit was another accidental purchase situation 😂 but honestly, since we plan on buying a house this year, I figured it may end up being extremely useful depending on the layout of the home we buy.I’m already very familiar with the GARVEE brand because I own a lot of furniture and home products from them, and overall I’ve had really good experiences with their items.The unit I got is the 8,000 BTU version which is rated for spaces around 350 square feet.I like that it comes with wheels so it can easily be moved from room to room if needed.It also comes with a remote control and has a touch control panel on the top which makes it feel more modern and user friendly.One detail I actually appreciated was the built in cord wrap notches on the side, similar to what vacuums have. Little details like that honestly make storage and organization so much easier.This also doubles as a dehumidifier, although unlike a standalone dehumidifier, this doesn’t have a water tank so you’d need to use a hose setup for drainage.Personally I’d probably only use this for cooling since I already own a dedicated dehumidifier.Even though I haven’t actively used this yet, I’m honestly glad to have it ready because you never know what areas of a house might need extra cooling until you move in.
