this is a review for the GARVEE Fluffy Area Rug- Shag Area Rug for Living Room, Shaggy Large Indoor Thick Living Room Carpet with Non-Slip Backing, Soft Plush Carpet for Bedroom,5x8,Tie-dye Light Greypros: I got this to replace a washable rug that I’ve had for several years and is starting to show its wear (different seller); I have had that rug three years plus and probably washed it at least every month or two in that time period). I can’t say enough good things about washable rugs — if you have pets or kids or just are grossed out sometimes by dirt and want your place to smell fresh this is the BEST. Compared to my previous rug (which had a flat nap) this is bigger, shaggier, a bit thicker, softer, AND priced better. It's very soft and my dog loves it. The pattern is nice, subtle. It didn’t smell weird on arrival and actually had no creases or wrinkles from the get go. I’ve not washed it yet but it balls up into a size that looks like it will fit fine in a front load HE washer.Cons: Although thicker/shaggier/plushier than my previous washable rug it’s still thin -- which of course is what you want in a rug if you want to be able to wash it. Although it will set you back another $40 or so, I highly recommend a carpet pad under it, which you can buy on here as well. Mine is 1/4 inch thick, came from a company called Mohawk -- and it makes all the difference in the world to keep things washable rugs in place and to make them feel nicer underfoot. The other con for this particular rug is that my partner reaaaallly did not love the look of this one in our living room -- it does look a bit cheap and more appropriate for a kid's room, a rec room, dorm room, etc. If you want a luxe, grown up looking rug this one isn't quite it. I ended up pulling this one up from the living room and will use it for a kid's room.
I was surprised to see this rug packed into the vacuum sealed bag as it was not that big but once opened it just kept unrolling and unfolding! It was obviously not very fluffy at first but it didn't take much shaking and running hands through it to get the fluff started. We bought it for my daughter's room and everyone seems to want it now (even the pets). It's not too thick but it does feel nice underneath my feet when walking on it and the non slip underside keeps it in place. We haven't had any issues with shedding and we'll see how cleaning it will go when needed.
This fluffy rug came in a small compact box. I was expecting this big roll because of tue large size but it is a light weight material. It is very soft and l love the design. It feels very cool to the touch and nice and cushiony. It is easy to carry and move around and covers a good area of the room. It also has the non-slip surface on the bottom. I am very happy with this rug. I would be able to takenit to a laudramat to wash in a big machine.
Nice and lightweight but doesn’t move around, no shedding. Use soap and water to clean any spills vs washing machine, easy to clean. No wrinkles when unpacking.
