Let me explain something about the cleaning:Add a tiny bit of the citric acid (about 1tsp is all you need) to about 1cm worth of water, and swirl it around to mix it. I've also used CLR cleaner. Just a small splash is all it takes. Use a sponge to clean the sides and bottom. No scrubbing is needed. No green pads, and no backs of the sponge. Only the soft side of the sponge is needed. The acid cleaner does all the work. It takes less than a minute to clean this way.If you use this distiller properly, and clean it properly, it works perfectly and will last you a long time.

I am so happy I ordered this 'GARVEE' water distiller! I knew that we had hard water, but had no idea of just how bad it was! After using this product the very first time, and seeing the results of what this product can do, we have decided to absolutely, never drink our tap water without distilling it. I have attached a couple of photos of the impurities that remained in the bottom of the distiller after using. It was awful to see all of the white residue left behind after use! The motor is not as quiet as I would like it, but since it does such a fantastic job, the sound does not bother me. It takes four hours to distill one gallon of water. The taste of the filtered water is definitely so much better and fresh. I highly recommend this product!
