We bought this crate for an 85 pound Golden retriever and possibly a companion.
It arrived in two heavy boxes and that reflected the very sturdy construction of the 71 inch furniture dog crate. Having several days off from work, it took most of one day and a half of the next to assemble. The instructions were fine but some comments could have been helpful. Only a few problems were encountered such as the hinge holes not lining up perfectly with the holds in the frame. I have a shop at home for restoring British cars so was able to deal with the small issues. If I was to order another one, I would consider paying some poor fellow to assemble it for me, and would not recommend non-tool friendly people to take it on themselves.
That said the finished crate is extremely well made, very sturdy, quite heavy and looks great. Just the wooden top is probably 20 pounds and is very attractive.
As it turned out, the crate is divided into two halves and each half is a bit too tight for our Golden. Hence I used an omni tool and metal cutting blade to cut the metal rods out that divide the interior in half. This gives the dog a nice large "living room" and a small "kitchen". Pretty nice.
We may get another dog and if so, I will buy another one like this one and perhaps cut the assembly time down to one day.

I loved this piece. I have 2, 80 lbs labs. This isn’t a kennel I would want to leave them in long term, but they can lie down in it. I just wouldn’t count on it for an all day kennel with food and water. I needed something that I could put them into for short times.The piece looks amazing and is very sturdy.I was able to get it put together myself, but the instructions are not the best. Some of it tools some trial and error on my part. It took me about 5 hours to put it together myself.
