This is the perimenopausal woman's dream. When I'm sitting on my sofa minding my business and suddenly feel like the fire of a thousand suns has ignited inside me, I can pick up this little remote control and instantly feel relief. The air is cool, it's not too loud, and it doesn't blow so hard that it blows things all over. I have a window unit AC, but this can travel wherever I go in the house. It took a bit of experimentation to set it up as there are no instructions on that part, but operation is very, very simple. You fill the basin at the bottom (not the top) with water and turn it on. It has 3 modes: normal; natural, which cycles on and off like blowing wind; and night mode. It has 3 speeds and a timer you can set to run for as long as 12 hours. Add the frozen ice boxes at the top if you need extra cold air. I did have to fix the slats on the front when I unboxed it as they had pulled out of their holes during shipping. You also want to cut the plastic tie securing the tube and the cable together in the water tank so you can insert the pump into the slots on the bottom of the tank.It gets kinda loud at the high speed, but I ran it at normal last night while we watched tv without any problems hearing the show. It's convenient and very portable and doesn't look ugly in my living room. The only thing that remains to be seen is if it adds significant humidity as I live in the Southern U.S. on the Gulf Coast. It's a great value for the price and I think I'm going to get one of these for my daughter in Colorado to help with the dryness.

What a fantastic little swamp cooler! I got it use in my work office because I share an office building with another coworker and he is very cold natured and I am very hot natured. We are constantly battling over the thermostat. When he’s there, he jacks it up to almost 80 degrees! Thats crazy talk for South Texas! So now we can come to happy medium. I’ll keep this cooler in my office to keep me cool, while he stays comfortable in his office.This unit has multiple functions. It’s a small air cooler, a fan and helps move air around the room. When I use the ice packs, the air is definitely cooler. You just fill up the included ice packs with water and throw them in them freezer. They have a special cooling substance inside each pack that turns to gel when you add the water. Then once they are frozen, you place them in the top of the unit, fill the bottom tank with water, turn on the cooling feature and voila…cool air! The fan has three speeds and even the lowest one feels nice. It’s easy to control with the buttons on top or the handy remote. And I really like that it has a timer, so I can set it turn off when I need. It runs quiet and it doesn’t need a special power outlet. It comes with detachable wheels that lock and has grab handles on the side, so it’s easy to move around.Overall, this is a great little, portable air cooler that is simple to operate, easy to move around and keeps me comfortable. It’s from GARVEE, so I know it’s great quality, plus it’s very affordable! This cooler would be perfect for a man cave, game room or sun room, or anywhere you need a little extra cool air!

This won’t replace AC for the whole house, but for one person on the couch or at a table it’s fantastic. Toss the ice packs in and you really feel the temp drop around you.
